Dr. Jeffrey R. Crabtree

Dr. Crabtree has more than 15 years of experience providing eye care in the area. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science/Pre-Med from Oklahoma State University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Crabtree is certified as a glaucoma specialist, allowing the widest scope of optometric practice in Texas.

Dr. Crabtree strives to implement the latest technologies into all elements of his practice. At his practice you will find the latest, state of the art lens options for glasses, contact lenses, diagnostic equipment, and the newest, most modern treatments for a variety of patient conditions. Dr. Crabtree has a particular interest in contact lenses, reading problems, glaucoma, and exams for diabetic eye disease.

As a child, Dr. Crabtree always loved going to his optometrist and can remember having a lot of curiosity and questions relating to everything that was happening during the course of the exam. This probably contributes to why he loves taking time explaining to patients of all ages about how their eyes and visual systems work. He wants to make sure everyone has the same kind of interesting, fun, and stress free experience that made him fall in love with optometry.

Dr. Crabtree is a member of both the Azle Area and the Northwest Tarrant Chambers of Commerce.  He volunteers his time for the Essilor Vision Foundation's mobile vision van, providing eye exams for children at schools in Azle and Lake Worth.

Dr. Crabtree was raised in Oklahoma and enjoys playing golf, biking, running, hiking, fitness, sporting events, board games, and homebrewing beer. He also likes trivia and has a head filled with a lot of useless facts, particularly science, history, and geography. Dr. Crabtree is happily married and lives in the Lake Worth area with his lovely wife Stephanie and daughter Eleanor.

Angel – Ophthalmic Technician/Insurance

Angel has been working with Dr. Crabtree as an ophthalmic technician since 2014. A native of Fort Worth, Angel is a graduate of Northside High School. Having worked at multiple optometric offices, Angel has developed a wide range of valuable skills related to patient care. Before patients see the doctor, Angel performs the initial testing and gathers other important information relating to their visual complaints and concerns. Angel also performs essential diagnostic testing such as imaging of the retina, glaucoma testing, etc. New contact lens wearers will get to know Angel as she helps them learn how to handle and care for their lenses. Angel's caring and warm personality allows her to put patients at ease quickly, making them feel right at home.

Angel lives in Lake Worth and is married with 3 kids. She enjoys watching movies and spending time with her family--including family vacations!

Abby – Optician/Practice Manager

Abby brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to our practice, having worked as an optician and practice manager at multiple optometric offices. Possessing a unique combination of optical expertise and a very fun, easygoing demeanor, Abby excels at helping every patient choose the perfect eyewear for their lifestyle and hobbies. Abby’s experience helps her have an excellent understanding of all vision insurance plans. This allows her to maximize patients’ benefits and get them the best lens technologies available. Since Abby has started, we’ve gotten used to hearing from patients: “Wow. These are the best glasses I’ve ever had.” This is a testament to how good of a job she does, and how much she cares about every patient’s satisfaction. There’s a good chance she may have you laughing before you are done in the optical, but when it comes to your eyes, she is truly a professional optician. We are very proud to have Abby as part of the team at Lake Worth Premier Eye Care.

Abby lives in the Keller area and has 2 grown children.  She enjoys bowling, wine tasting, playing board games, and hanging out with friends and family.

Sara - Optician/Tech

Sara offers 11 years of experience as an optician and enjoys being part of the team here at Lake Worth Premier Eye Care.  Sara's passion is service to others both on the job and in her personal life.  Sara counts each day as an opportunity to be of service, to learn new skills and expand her knowledge in her chosen profession as an optician.  Sara is motivated to make a difference and gains great satisfaction in being a significant part in finding solutions to your eye care needs and overcoming challenges.  Our vision is sometimes taken for granted.  Sara truly understands the importance of proper maintenance of our eyes and has focused her career path in providing excellent eye care services.  

Sarah is a Fort Worth native and treasures her roots.  She is a graduate of Boswell High School, enjoys meeting new people and has made many long-lasting friends of patients who enjoy returning again and again.

Lisa - Front Desk

Lisa is the newest member of our staff and we are glad to have her as part of our team. Lisa brings an easy going demeanor that makes her easy to strike up a conversation with.  Lisa is happy to assist with scheduling, insurance questions, contact lenses, ordering, etc. She can help with any issues that arise before, during, or after your visit, ensuring that your experience is a great one.  Lisa enjoys hiking, travelling (especially to the mountains), baking, and family.  She also excels at giving Dr. Crabtree a hard time.  Lisa has one daughter and lives in the Azle area.
